These pieces was a submission for a college project while I attended SSU. The project was to create a cohesive packaging/advertising campaign for the theatre performance group known as “Shakespeare in the Park.” Each campaign must include a poster as well as some sort of distributable component and its packaging (CDs were recommended by the professor).  Since the performance was location specific, there was no need to include a location, rather only times and dates of performances.

My approach to this project was to keep it as Shakespearean as I could with regards to style and imagery; therefore, I used sketch style images of William Shakespeare as well as iconic characters from his plays. I used an overlay effect on the black and white images to give them a “drawn-on” feel and kept the font close to a pristine, handwritten style of the time.
